I’m pleased to announce after a lot of work, my new website is live. The design is simple, clean and easy to navigate, on your computer, tablet or phone. There is a new domain and new email addresses for contacting me. This newsletter will cover the main pages in detail with a few screen shots to help you understand the design. I had a few people give me their thoughts on the new design and they have been positive. I hope you’ll visit and let me know what you think. You can access the new website via the domain, www.rweirauthor.com. My old domain, www.rweir.net is still active and is now being forwarded to the new website. Now let’s dive into the design.

Above you’ll see the Home screen. It slightly changed from the picture I sent last month. This will be the starting point you’ll be working from. In the picture you see 8 Menus, which will display at the top of every screen you visit. Besides Home, you have Books, Blog, Events, Fun Stuff, About, Contact and Store. Then to the far right you have the website Search function (magnifying glass), the dollar amount of any items in your Shopping Cart and the Basket showing the number of items.

If you scroll down the Home screen you’ll see my latest books, Justice For The Forgotten and Murder By A Hundred Cuts. There are buttons which direct you to Amazon for each book and one to read a Sample of the book listed. When new books are released, this content will change. Below Murder By A Hundred Cuts is a list of awards I’ve won.

Down further on the Home page is a listing of all 4 books in my award-winning Divine Devils series, with links to Amazon and my Book Store. After that is a link to my latest episode of my Bringing Life To Characters vodcast, with a few other featured shows. All of these to change with additions of new shows. Plus there is a link to view all the videos on my YouTube Channel.

Down towards the bottom is a listing of my 4 audiobooks, with links to Listen To Preview each book and Buy Now from Amazon. As more audiobooks are released this to will update.

Above you’ll see the main content of the Books page, listing links to view the three book series and a link to the special short story where Jarvis Mann and Hunter Divine meet at the Private Eye Tavern. Clicking any of the links will take you to a page showing all the books in the three series, where you’ll find descriptions and links to purchase any of the books on Amazon or in my Book Store.

Next is the Blog menu, which has the content of my Newsletters, which is mailed out through Mailerlite. There were issues moving over the older Blog text and pictures, with the export and import not working cleanly, requiring a lot of work for me to fix them so they displayed properly. For now I only have the blogs for 2025 listed here. Eventually I will add a few others, when time allows. But all new Blogs/Newsletters will be listed going forward, with the newest content mailed out to my subscribers via my Mailerlite service.

The Events page will list my future events. Then there are sections you can click to view photos from Craft Fairs, from Author Events like Killer Nashville and from Book Clubs I’ve met with. Content on those secondary pages will change and be added to over time.

The Fun Stuff page, is exactly what it sounds like, photos from the Fun Stuff going on in my life. Photos from the Fire and Police Academies I attended, Vacations, Wildlife, Classic Car shows and photos from our garden. Again this content will change and be added to over time.

The About page is a BIO page with details about myself and accomplishments in my author journey. The Contact page is setup so you can send me a comment or ask me a question. Then there is a Mail Me link to the left, which contains one of my new email addresses, to send an email. My main one has changed as well, reflecting the new rweirauthor.com domain. The old email address is still active and will be for another year or more, and is being forwarded to the new address. Below that is a link for anyone who would be interested in me speaking to them, either at a book club or a school.

Then I have my Book Store, where you can order signed paperbacks. Orders can be placed and paid for using Paypal, with a credit card, or Venmo, for US Shipping only. These books will be signed and shipped by me, generally in 24-48 hours, so long as I have the book in stock. If not, I will send you an email with a projected shipping ETA. I plan on having other merchandise available in the future. Those items will have my various logos on them; T-Shirts, reusable shopping bags and glass mugs. With other items, depending on popularity, coming later. The Book Store is fully live now and available for ordering books.

At the bottom of each the main website pages, will be a Newsletter Sign Up form for those interested in receiving my monthly newsletter. Then on every page there is a Footer Menu listing the 8 main menus. There are also shortcut icons to link you to my Facebook, YouTube and Instagram media sites. I hope you’ll click around the new website and enjoy the content on all the pages. If there are other items you’d like to see posted, let me know. I want to make it simple to navigate and interesting to view.

Weir delivers a compelling blend of mystery, emotion, and action that will leave you eager for the next ride with the Steel Wheels series – which I personally can’t wait for – Trish
This is one of the best thrillers I have read this year and can not wait for the next book in the series to arrive – Angela
This story is captivating. Donnie is an honorable man, and that makes him all the more likable. I won’t risk spoiling the story, but if you love a great crime story, you have to read this one. I can’t wait for more in this series – Tammy

And here is a wonderful new 5-Star Editorial Review from Reader Views:
Reviewed by Ashley Hooker for Reader Views (05/2025)
5*- A Crime Thriller with Heart
Author R. Weir’s book Justice for the Forgotten is an engaging story reminding readers of the
raw emotion involved in cold case murders.
Donnie Steel is a retired police officer who has faced emotional battles in his life. When he is
widowed, he decides to do the one thing he promised he would do with his late wife, Wendi. He
sells his home, buys an RV and a motorcycle equipped with a sidecar for his dog Kogel, and hits
the road. While traveling the country, Steel creates a blog that he uses as therapy. One day, he
checks the blog and finds a family looking for help solving a murder case from three years ago.
Even though Donnie is retired, the oath to protect and serve has not left his heart. He agrees to
help solve the cold case but has no idea what the journey to justice would look like. Along the
journey, he teams up with colleagues and friends, finds himself in precarious situations, and
learns a lot about himself.
One of the best qualities in Justice for the Forgotten is the way Weir portrays his characters. The
main character, Donnie Steel, is not just a retired police officer. He is a man who has lost the
love of his life, and his only company on the road is his dog, Kogel. Kogel is a retired K-9
officer. The relationship between Kogel and Donnie is full of loyalty and devotion. The people
he meets in the story are described as real people. They have lost loved ones, been exploited, and
most of all, Weir shares what friendship truly is in the way all the characters interact with one
another.
Justice for the Forgotten is not your average crime novel. While readers witness the
investigation and possible conclusions, they also witness the emotions that are always wrapped
up in murder cases. The author clearly portrays the heartbreak, desperation, and commitment the
family has in getting justice for their child. Donnie Steel is a character that reminds us that we
should never forget those who have been placed on the cold case shelves. Steel is also a character
that brings hope for readers who may have had a similar experience.
Weir’s Justice for the Forgotten is a thrilling, heart-wrenching page-turner. It is a crime novel
with many layers. Readers will note the ease in Weir’s writing style and how easy it is to relate
to the characters he presents. Justice for the Forgotten is the first book in a new series by R.
Weir, Steel Wheels Cold Mystery, and I look forward to reading his future work.

In June we’ll be travelling to South Dakota for a vacation and the Wild Deadwood Reads book event. This will be my eighth year attending, and it’s one of my favorites. As you see above there is a extensive list of authors scheduled. If you love books of all genres, this is a great event to attend. I hope to see lots of friends, as well as old and new book fans.
With all the details of the new website, I didn’t have room for a Featured Author this month. But this will return next month. I do have Book Funnel links to share, including free eBooks and ones available on Kindle Unlimited, which I hope you’ll check out.
June’s Cozy Mystery, Thriller, Suspense Only Free Ebook Promo has 62 free eBooks you can download via this link until June 30th.
Mystery, Thrillers and Suspense Freebies has 51 free eBooks you can download via this link thru June 30th.
June Kindle Unlimited Mystery, Thriller, Suspense, & Crime Reads has 71 eBooks available to read if you have a Kindle Unlimited Subscription. You can find all via this Book Funnel link.
I will wrap up the newsletter by saying thanks for the support though the years as my content continues to evolve. I hope you like the new website and will visit and share it with your book reading friends. Now it’s time to get back to my main job, which is writing books. For my characters have lots of adventures awaiting them!!
All the best!
R. Weir
